Ready to continue your explorations? After completing your Open Water Diver certification, the Adventures in Diving program will strengthen your dive skills, increase your confidence, and introduce you to new types of diving environments around the Puget Sound region.

Adventures in Diving emphasizes experience. You will complete five dives including a deep dive, a navigation dive, and a three "elective dives" (night, boat, drift, drysuit, fish ID, peak performance buoyancy, or naturalist). The excellent textbook which accompanies the class covers all these topics and more. You will read the five relevant chapters before each dive, and we will have a brief talk highlighting the key points.

Besides learning new skills and being introduced to a diverse range of environments, in the Adventures class your instructor will spend quite a bit of time assisting you with proper weighting, as well as helping you optimize your buoyancy control. As always, with any Pelagia Scuba class, there will be plenty of talk about Puget Sound marine life, and you will have access to fish and invertebrate identification books. In addition, you are also welcome to participate in subsequent “Adventures” classes to sharpen your skills - free of charge!

The cost of the course is $149.00 and includes all instruction and the Advanced Open Water Diver certification card. Students will need to provide all required gear, complete all required knowledge reviews in the Adventures in Diving manual (available at any Underwater Sports location), and possess a highly developed sense of adventure!
