This class is sure to give you an adrenaline rush! Learn how to plan and execute shore dives and boat dives in high current areas. The first phase of this class is to take the Tides and Currents workshop which will provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge on currents. Next, we will learn how to calculate the speed of the current at any time of the day and calculate the distance of a drift.

Then, the adventure begins. We will plan and conduct two shore dives or two boat dives in high current areas. Most shore dives are planned right before "slack" current. You will travel out with the flood current and back with the ebb current (or vice versa). If your dive plan was accurate and your execution successful, you will have returned to your exact entry point! Other shore dives might require dropping a vehicle downstream from the entry point and calculating the exact distance of the drift.

Includes 2 dives and PADI Specialty certification.

Equipment Requirements: Visual and auditory signal devices (safety sausage and whistle will fulfill thisrequirement).
